Happiness Can you teach happiness – and what is it anyway? Happiness is: waking up in the morning with the feeling it's great to be alive. Since the late 1990s the subject of happiness has been widely researched by psychologists who have discovered that HAPPINESS is a ‘skill’ that can be learned, like riding a bike, and although there is no universal, one-fits-all solution for happiness, there is a lot you can do to raise your capacity for joy. After all you are not born unhappy, life taught you to be that way. dreamscatchers’ ‘Making Me Happy’ courses use a unique approach combining counselling and coaching to look into the past to understand behaviours in the present and what to do about it in the future. What happened to you in the past affects the way you respond in the present like a programme controls a computer. Understanding the programme is the first step toward changing it. In other words we teach people how to make their glass half full! Happy People: > Enjoy confidence. > Have a good network of friends. > Are open to new experiences. > Make good decisions. > Have the energy to design their future. > Welcome change. > Fulfil their dreams and ambitions. > Are successful. dreamscatchers Happiness courses are completely adaptable. They can be used in schools, colleges, workplaces etc. They work in any part of the country. In 2007 we started to ‘Make Plymouth Happy’. Find out more: Why not contact us by clicking here.
